Mental Health First Aid Class, October 26 and 27
Please see the attached flyer for information about our upcoming class, Mental Health First Aid. Dylan Peeples, a member of the Williamson County Mobile Outreach Team will be conducting the class on October 26th and 27th in Round Rock. The class is free, Social Work CEUs are available, and lunch will be provided. This a great class for first responders, nursing home staff, school personnel, shelter volunteers, primary care staff, probation officers, family members of mental health consumers, and social service agency professionals and volunteers. Participants will learn the potential risk factors and warning signs for a range of mental health problems, including: depression, anxiety/trauma, psychosis, eating disorders, substance use disorders, and self-injury.  Space is limited, call today to make a reservation. Funding for this class is provided by the Texas Mental Health Transformation Grant. Please forward this information to anyone who might be interested in attending.
